Earls Oil Cooler

Anyone who's owned a late model SS for any length of time has noticed that the oil cooler sits in a rather precarious spot just aft of the front tire. It gets pummeled by all manner of road debris and doesn't really seem to get a good airflow. Mine developed a pinhole leak up in Colorado after not too much time. Lotsa folks just reposition the small stock cooler up a bit higher, but there is a better way.

Miller Specialties of Connecticut offers a kit, which not only truly relocates, but also includes a much nicer heat exchanger. Available in two different sizes, I chose the larger version to help the tweaked motor cope with our hot summer temps. The kit is complete with all brackets, stainless steel lines (with anodized fittings & your choice of clear or black rubber coating) and a top quality Earls oil cooler. It even includes another rocker cover without the stock cooler's mounting tabs.

Front Lines Side

The oversized cooler sits just below the headlight, gets plenty of air and is hardly visible from the front. It fits perfectly behind the "nostrils" in the stock upper fairing, or the Powerbronze dual headlight fairing. An excellent solution.
